Freedom From Smoking

Stop Smoking

The Heart Center of Greater Waterbury sponsors a grant funded "Freedom From Smoking" program. The program is funded through the Margaret A. Halden Fund at the Connecticut Community Foundation through the American Heart Association.

The Freedom From Smoking clinic is facilitated by the American Lung Association and includes eight sessions that feature a step-by-step plan for quitting smoking.

Each session is designed to help smokers gain control over their behavior. The clinic format encourages participants to work on the process and problems of quitting both individually and as part of a group.

Classes are held throughout the year at the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway in Waterbury, CT. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. To register for a class, click here or call (203) 575-1992 for more information.
